Steve Towne – Butterfield Gym in the McConnell Center, 32 St. Thomas Street
Steve Towne (“Townie”), a Dover High School graduate, was a very active supporter of Dover sports throughout his life. He coached and officiated for Dover South Side Little League, Dover Recreation Department’s youth basketball, and served as a board member for Dover Youth Football. He also helped to organize and run the over-50 men’s basketball league in the city.
Townie was inducted into the Dover Sports Hall of Fame in 1999 as a contributor and also received the New Hampshire Union Leader’s Carl Lundholm Award for his dedication to youth sports.
