The mission of the “Faces of Dover” project is to seek out, record, and archive “public memories” of Dover through written narratives, audio and video recordings of citizens, web-based social commentary tools, and photography. Our city’s collective recollections about Dover’s past centuries will supplement existing archival material, fill in gaps in paper sources, and help our community define and explain present conditions and institutions. Our goal is to collect not only what is already known, but also other information, observations and opinions unavailable elsewhere.
